Plans approved for new football pitches and sports facilities at Condado de Alhama
The Alhama de Murcia Town Hall has granted the basic license for the development

Plans are in place for two new football pitches and additional sports facilities at Condado de Alhama, which will likely be well received by residents.
The Alhama de Murcia Town Hall has granted the basic licence for the project, allowing it to move forward on a plot within Condado I. The idea is to gradually improve the range of facilities available, particularly as the resort continues to grow and attract both full-time residents and holidaymakers.
Alongside the two football pitches, the project includes several practical additions such as changing rooms, toilets, a gym, storage spaces and other service areas. There will also be facilities to support maintenance, including irrigation systems, a water deposit and space for machinery. The site itself will be adapted and enclosed as part of the overall development.
This forms part of a larger plan to continue developing Condado de Alhama as both a residential and tourist destination. Earlier this year at FITUR in Madrid, the developer Alhama Nature and the hotel company Wyndham Registry Collection confirmed plans to build a five-star luxury hotel within the resort, further expanding what is available in the area.
For people living in Condado, the new pitches and facilities will be a useful addition. While they may primarily be for residents, they could also attract more football teams and tournaments to the area. And with the five-star hotel planned nearby, who knows, maybe your favourite team could make an appearance one day!
