The Teatro Cine Velasco in Alhama de Murcia

The Teatro Cine Velasco in Alhama de Murcia

One of the main cultural venues in Alhama de Murcia

This venue in Alhama is just a few metres down the hill from the Los Baños Archaeological Museum and the town centre, tucked away in the corner of the Jardin de los Patos. The building is used as both a cinema and a theatre and is the location for many concerts, musical and theatrical events, as well as for film showings.

The theatre, which is named after actress Concha Velasco, is open only when events are being held, and for queries and tickets it is advisable to ring the tourist office in Alhama (968 633512) or contact the Archaeological Museum.

Tickets for cultural events are usually sold in the Archaeological Museum during normal opening hours.

For more local information in English relating to the Alhama de Murcia municipality, including news and forthcoming events, go to Alhama Today.
