Region of Murcia public holiday calendar 2027 released already: The 12 national and regional festivos next year
In addition to these dates, there will also be two local holidays which will be decided by each municipality in the Region
If you're already planning holidays or looking ahead to next year's long weekends, the Region of Murcia has officially published its 2027 public holiday calendar.
As in previous years, there will be 14 public holidays in total. Twelve of these will apply across the entire Region of Murcia, while each of the Region's 45 municipalities will also choose two additional local holidays.
The calendar was approved by the regional government and has now been officially published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM). Although the resolution has been released now, it won't come into force until Friday January 1, 2027.
Eight of the holidays are set nationally, while the Region of Murcia has selected four additional dates, including Region of Murcia Day on Wednesday June 9. The regional government has also moved the Assumption Day holiday, which falls on a Sunday in 2027, in line with national regulations.

Friday January 1 – New Year's Day
Wednesday January 6 – Three Kings' Day (Epiphany)
Friday March 19 – Saint Joseph's Day
Thursday March 25 – Maundy Thursday
Friday March 26 – Good Friday
Saturday May 1 – Labour Day
Wednesday June 9 – Region of Murcia Day
Tuesday October 12 – Spain's National Day
Monday November 1 – All Saints' Day
Monday December 6 – Constitution Day
Wednesday December 8 – Immaculate Conception
Saturday December 25 – Christmas Day
