October 24 Screening of Rebecca in original language version in Los Alcázares
Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine star in the Cineforum event at the Town Hall of Los Alcázares
The “Cineforum” series of four screenings of classic movies in the Salón de Plenos of the Town Hall of Los Alcázares, all of them in original language version, continues on Friday 24th October at 18.30 with Rebecca, starring Laurence Olivier, Joan Fontaine, Judith Anderson, George Sanders, Reginald Denny, Gladys Cooper and C. Aubrey Smith – surely the only Test match cricketer to have enjoyed such a long and successful acting career!
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, the romantic psychological thriller was released in 1940 and was nominated for 13 Oscars – although it was awarded just two – and was based on the highly acclaimed novel by Daphne du Maurier.
This screening in Los Alcázares is organized by the Asociación Los Alcázaers Eco Cultural - LAEC and is followed by a short talk by cinema experts José María and Pencho.
