Murcia weather forecast September 16-22: Sunshine and showers, hooray

All the rain we didn’t get over the last few months we are now getting in these few weeks in September, and in the way we really need it – not as one enormous deluge that leaves the predictable flooding but as a series of steady, drizzly showers with just a little bit of rainfall each day to help moisten the parched earth and fill up the water reserves a bit.
And so, this week in the Region of Murcia, as well as plenty of showery periods from Wednesday September 18 onwards, there will also be frequent spells of sunshine, according to the latest forecast from the Spanish State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
There will also be a bit of a dip in temperatures midweek, but not too pronounced – only 2 or 3 degrees for both minimums and maximums – but by the weekend (which will also be a bit rainy), temperatures will climb back up again to their previous point, ready for the start of autumn on Sunday September 22.
Despite the sometimes soggy conditions, the rain will not be accompanied either by thunder and lightning or by strong winds, and it should remain calm and fairly breezeless all week long.
So, enjoy the moments of sun when they’re there but also be thankful for the rain we’re finally getting.
