The 1992 album recorded by Michel Legrand and Stephane Grappelli has become a coveted piece for collectors all over the world, and on this occasion Jazz San Javier has brought together, in a unique production, four great musicians from the European Union: the great Catalan pianist Ignasi Terraza, festival award winner in 2016 and an artist greatly loved by our audience; the young German violinist Sandro Roy, a prodigy recognized in both classical music and jazz; the great French bassist Pierre Boussaguet, a long-time member of Michel Legrand's trio; and the prestigious drummer Esteve Pi, one of the best in Spanish jazz. Great virtuosos to honour the musical legacy of Legrand and Grappelli.

The second half of this double bill belongs to the band Parker Barrow, born in Nashville (Tennessee) and known for their brilliant performances of the best Southern rock’n’roll with blues influences. Led by drummer and composer Dylan Turner and vocalist Megan Kane, along with guitarist Alex Bender, the band is named as a tribute to the famous outlaw couple, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. With influences from The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Whiskey Myers, their live performances are spectacular, full of energy, and featuring great improvisation, blending the present of Southern Rock with some renditions of the classics of this brilliant style of Rock.

This eighth concert in the 27th edition of the San Javier Jazz festival begins at 21.30 at the open-air auditorium in Parque Almansa in the centre of San Javier. Tickets are priced at 20 euros.
