Intense heat eases for a sunny summer weekend: Alicante weather forecast July 10-12
After reaching up to 41C midweek, temperatures will begin to fall across Alicante Province, although it will still be sunny and warm over the weekend

After another spell of intense heat and several days of heat alerts across Alicante province, there is finally some relief on the way.
Thursday is expected to bring one more day of exceptionally high temperatures, with highs once again reaching 40ºC or more in parts of the Province. However, temperatures are forecast to begin falling from Friday, bringing a sunnier and more comfortable weekend while heat alerts remain in place in some areas.
Here's a day-by-day look at what you can expect from Thursday July 9 to Sunday July 12.
Thursday July 9
Thursday looks set to bring another day of intense summer heat across Alicante province.
Skies will remain mostly clear with some cloud at times, while temperatures are expected to stay exceptionally high. Highs of 37ºC to 39ºC are forecast across much of the province, with temperatures climbing to 40ºC or 41ºC in parts of the far south and north-east.
Winds will remain light and variable before turning southerly during the afternoon, with the occasional stronger gust.
Friday July 10
Friday marks the start of a change in conditions, with temperatures falling across Alicante Province after several days of extreme heat.
Skies will remain mostly clear with some cloud at times, while plenty of sunshine is expected throughout the day.
Although temperatures will be lower than earlier in the week, it will still feel warm across much of the province. Winds will remain light and variable before becoming mainly easterly during the afternoon.
Saturday July 11
Saturday is expected to bring another largely sunny day, with a little cloud during the morning and again later in the day.
Temperatures will change very little compared with Friday, although some areas could see slightly lower daytime highs.
A north-easterly breeze is expected along the coast, while inland areas will see light and variable winds becoming easterly later in the day.
Sunday July 12
Sunny weather is expected to continue into Sunday, with only some cloud possible early in the day.
Temperatures will remain much the same, making for another warm but more comfortable summer day compared with the start of the week.
North-easterly winds are expected along the coast, while inland areas will see light winds becoming easterly during the afternoon, with occasional moderate breezes.
Although the most intense heat is expected to be behind us for now, it will still be hot across Alicante Province, with temperatures in the high 20s to low 30s, pretty typical July weather. So remember to drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen and try to stay out of the sun during the hottest part of the day.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend:

Thursday July 9: Min 24ºC, Max 41ºC
Friday July 10: Min 23ºC, Max 37ºC
Saturday July 11: Min 20ºC, Max 34ºC
Sunday July 12: Min 20ºC, Max 35ºC
