Beach yoga, Pilates and Zumba classes in Orihuela Costa this summer
Evening workouts on the sand return to 4 Orihuela Costa beaches in July and August

If you're looking for a healthy way to make the most of long summer evenings, Orihuela Costa's coastline is the place to be. The City Council has launched its ‘Summer Sports 2025’ scheme, which will bring a mix of fitness activities, from yoga and Pilates to Zumba and HIIT, to some of the area's most popular beaches during July and August.
Organised through the Youth Department, the sessions are aimed at a wide range of ages and fitness levels, with different classes rotating across six local beaches over 18 dates.
Sessions will take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7pm to 8.30pm, starting July 21 and running through to August 29.
Each week, a new beach will host the workouts: Campoamor, Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig and La Zenia will all feature, with Campoamor and Playa Flamenca taking turns again in August.
The schedule includes Pilates and functional fitness in the first week, body combat in the second and Zumba making a high-energy appearance in La Zenia on Wednesday August 14. For those looking for more intensity, HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) is also on the agenda.
The City Council has set a participant limit of 50 people per session and the chosen provider will supply any necessary equipment, such as mats for yoga and Pilates. The scheme is being offered through a public tender with a starting budget of €25,410.
Whether you’re a local or visiting for the summer, it’s a great opportunity to stay active and enjoy Orihuela Costa’s beautiful beaches in a different way.
