New airport shuttle bus to connect Corvera Airport with key destinations, launching in May 2025

A new airport shuttle transfer service is set to revolutionise travel in Murcia from May 2025, connecting the Region of Murcia International Airport to popular destinations across the area. The service, branded Airport Buses, actually has over a decade of experience in airport transfers in nearby Almería, positioning itself as a reliable option for travellers.

The concept originated in 2014 when it became clear there was a need for affordable, reliable airport transportation in the area. The upshot of that, a company called Exclusive Airport Shuttles, quickly grew in popularity and now serves over 50,000 passengers annually with transport to Almería Airport.

Buoyed by this success, their attentions are now turning to Murcia. While it is a popular airport for Murcia passengers to fly into if they can, the Region of Murcia International Airport in Corvera has limited transport services, and so an airport shuttle bus service is sorely needed. Leveraging their proven systems and focus on customer service, Airport Buses promises efficiency, reliability and affordability.

The service will initially operate three routes, catering to travellers heading to Murcia’s coastline, southern Alicante and parts of Almería:

La Manga route: Murcia Airport, Cabo de Palos, Playa Honda, Capfun, Mar de Cristal, Los Belones, La Manga Club, Cartagena and La Manga Strip.
Torrevieja route: Murcia Airport, Torre Pacheco, Las Terrazas de La Torre Golf Resort, La Torre Golf Resort, Roldan, ONA Mar Menor Golf Resort, Los Alcázares, Los Narejos, San Javier, Santiago de Ribera, Lo Pagán, San Pedro de Pinatar, Pilar de Horadada, Campoamor, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Mil Palmeras, Cabo Roig and Torrevieja.
San Juan route: Murcia Airport, Condado de Alhama, Camposol, Mazarrón Country Club, Puerto de Mazarrón, Mazarrón, Águilas, Calarreona, San Juan de los Terreros and Mar de Pulpí.

Fares start at €8.99 and group discounts are available. Children’s tickets are offered at half price, making it a family-friendly option.

Daily operations will commence on May 22, 2025, aligning with the peak summer travel season. The company plans to run year-round services if demand persists, and looking ahead the company aims to expand its services to Alicante Airport and adding more stops in Murcia, particularly at golf resorts and urbanisations if there is sufficient interest.

Airport Buses Murcia Airport transfer service

Started on May 22, 2025, Airport Buses has a daily shuttle transfer service connecting the Region of Murcia International Airport with key destinations across Murcia, southern Alicante and Almería, every time there is a direct flight between Corvera Airport and a destination in the UK or Ireland, plus selected European flights.

Three initial routes serve:

La Manga route: Murcia Airport, Cabo de Palos, Playa Honda, Capfun, Mar de Cristal, Los Belones, La Manga Club, Cartagena and La Manga Strip (€12.99-€19.99/adult each way)
